Laurel Baker
Director of Development/
Donor Relations
Laurel manages Guatemalan Horse Tours, philanthropic tourism supporting 125 working tour horses and their owners, focusing on their care and promoting tourism. Additionally, she assists in our Pacaya Volcano clinic, providing medical treatment and care to local animals in the Mayan Village of Pacaya.
Jymmy Calderas
Volcano Tour Operations & Animal Care
Jymmy oversees a team of 125 working tour horses for the Pacaya Volcano tour. He plays a key role in our Pacaya Volcano clinic, providing care for the animals and managing rescue horses. Additionally, he actively engages with the Mayan community, facilitating the integration of our educational programs and ideas to benefit the community and their horses.
Álvaro De Castro
Children and Villages Coordinator
Álvaro coordinates the provision of essential items such as food, supplies, and educational materials for Mayan villages and children. He is integral in securing medical, educational, and food supplies, and arranging engaging events for the children.
Diego
Translator & Program Designer
Diego serves as a valuable member of our team. He not only acts as a translator for the Mayan dialect within our organization but also designs programs for children to enhance their language skills in English and encourage pursuit of higher education.
Oscar "Canché" Morales
Rescue Horse Care Provider
Oscar offers essential care to all rescue horses during emergencies, providing both immediate and long-term support. His expertise in veterinary care is invaluable for the well-being of working tour horses.
Manuel Sisniega
Community Development and Construction Liaison
Manuel, in his role as a construction coordinator, collaborates closely with municipal and governmental agencies in Guatemala. Additionally, he leads initiatives in horse rescue and community development. Specifically, Manuel plays a key role in supporting Mayan villages by identifying their needs and facilitating the provision of necessary resources.
Ronald Velazquez
Lead Veterinary Care Specialis
Ronald oversees all medical needs for horses, dogs, and cats. He plays a critical role in providing essential medical care during emergency rescue missions for injured or sick animals. He also provides long-term care for these animals at our clinic.
